Description

Common Scrofatherium ( Siberian scrofatherium )
Scientific name: Scrofatherium crassus ( fat boar beast )
Height: 6 feet
Weight: 1 to 2 tons
Habitat: deciduous and coniferous forests
Native region: Eurasia
Evolved from: wild boar
Lifespan: 39 years

- Name means " boar beast "
- These animals are common in the northern latitudes of Europe and Asia. They live in groups of up to 15 individuals. Each group is led by a dominant male who protects his harem from predators and rivals.
- They're typically browsers. Feeding off of low lying woody plants. They'll supplement their diet with fruit, flowers, insects, carrion, and smaller animals. They'll even cannibalize non related individuals of the same species.
- Their short pillar like legs and shaggy hair protects the scrofatherium from the frigid winter conditions. Adults have a few predators, however weaker individuals are targeted by predatory rodents and mustelids.

Japanese scrofatherium
Scientific name: Laponiatherium clavatus ( striped Japan beast )
Height: 6'5 to 7 feet
Weight: 1.5 tons
Habitat: forests
Native region: Eastern Asia ( the part of Japan that collided with mainland Asia )
Evolved from: wild boar
Lifespan: 35 years

- they're characterized by their long pillar like likes, two pairs of tusks, and a signature white stripe on their backs. They diverged from their shorter relatives during the tabeocene ( 35 myh ). A perfect example of divergent evolution.
- Unlike their relatives, 95% of their diet is vegetation. Because of their massive size, they barely have any threats to look out for.
- They live either by themselves or in a group of 5. They spread out in a forest area and spend their day eating and fighting.
