- Bastets are medium sized predators descended from domestic cats. They're bigger than today's cats, they possess large ears, red eyes, and a short fur coat.

- They're nocturnal. They spend the daytime sleeping under a shade and are active at night. Their diet consists of birds, rodents, reptiles, and rock hoppers. Their top speed is 30 mph.

- What gives them an edge against their prey is their superb vision and hearing. They ambush their prey by blending in with its surroundings and then pounce on its victim. Blocking the windpipe in the process.

- They're primarily solitary.
